Keaton Beach

The town of Keaton Beach is about halfway between Steinhatchee and Perry and is located on a bay where Blue Creek meets the Gulf of Mexico. The town is the main center of a group of coastal settlements consisting of Bird Island, Cedar Island, Dark Island, Deckle Beach, Ezell Beach, and Fish Creek. Keaton Beach has always been a popular area for boating and deep sea fishing in Taylor County, and it is also the last major community on Florida's Gulf Coast until the Ochlockonee Bay area in the panhandle.

Hodge’s Park is the area's public beach. Along the narrow stretch of shoreline, visitors can enjoy swimming and picnicking. They can also fish or take a stroll along the Pier that winds its way into the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. From the Pier many types of birds can be viewed so take a camera.

From Steinhatchee, follow CR 361 north for 18 miles. From Perry, head south on US 19/98 for about 4 miles then make a right to follow CR 361 for about 17 miles to reach the town.
