Big Talbot Island State Park

Big Talbot Island State Park is located on the Atlantic Ocean northeast of downtown Jacksonville and is part of a cluster of 5 State Parks located in proximity to one another along State Road A1A. Several hiking and canoe/kayaking trails are located in different areas of the island, providing a different experience for those who enjoy the outdoors. We took The Bluffs trail which lead through the coastal hammocks down to the Nassau River where the banks are lined with several dead trees and driftwood giving it the nickname "Boneyard Beach".
