Fernandina Beach

We took State Road 200/A1A (Exit 373 off I-95) to Amelia Island and followed the signs to Fernandina Beach. It was a beautiful sunny day in December. We visited three different points on the island: north and south Main Beach, and Seaside Beach. All three access points are located off Fletcher Avenue on the Atlantic Ocean. Picnic areas and restrooms are provided, and there are several restaurants nearby.

Afterward, we strolled through downtown Fernandina where there are unique shops, restaurants, a museum, and a boardwalk along the harbor.
