ST. JOSEPH PENINSULA STATE PARK
St. Joseph Peninsula State Park offered a unique experience. We climbed to the top of the walkway over the dunes and were able to view St. Joseph’s Bay and the Gulf of Mexico at the same time. On one side visitors were enjoying swimming in the bay and boating while on the other side visitors were enjoying the white sand beach. The park offers a variety of activities from camping to snorkeling.
The park is located on C-30E about twenty miles off of US98. It opens at 8:00 a.m.

Mexico Beach
Mexico Beach is pretty much the western most town in the St. Joseph Bay area. It is located roughly at the mouth of the Saint Joseph Bay and is on the border between Bay & Gulf counties. The Bay & Gulf county border is also the boundary for the Eastern & Central time zones. Bay County and Mexico Beach lie in the Central time zone while Gulf County is in the Eastern time zone. The tip of the Saint Joseph peninsula is visible from the beach that is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, etc...
