Evinston

Evinston is a small community located on CR225. From US441 south of Gainesville turn onto CR346 heading east then turn onto CR225 south.

When visiting Cross Creek, Micanopy, or McIntosh, we sometimes add Evinston to our list. We passed through in April 2008 during the Heart of Florida Paint Out. We’ve lived in Florida all our lives and never heard of Evinston so we were thoroughly and pleasantly surprised to find such a quaint, picturesque spot. We took lots of pictures of wildflowers and countryside and visited the Wood & Swink General Store and Post Office.
