Etoniah Creek State Forest

Etoniah Creek State Forest offers four trails for hikers. From the ¾ mile Lake Blossom Trail to the 4+ miles Longleaf Pine Trail hikers will find a trail that suits their experience and sense of adventure. There is a 12 mile trail for hiking, bicycling, and horseback riding. Whichever trail you choose, you will have a close-up view of Florida’s diverse landscape, including beautiful George’s Lake, a sinkhole, and a dry pond.

Besides hiking trails, there is a picnic area with restrooms and primitive campsites.

The forest is located in Florahome off State Rd. 100. There are two entrances to the forest. Coral Farms Rd. is paved and the entrance is a few miles down at Tinsley Road. The other entrance is Holloway Road which is a dirt road. To find the trails pick up a map at the state forest office, located at the picnic area and restrooms.

Visitors should also be aware that regulated hunting is allowed during parts of the year. At the time of our visit (October 2018) Lake Blossom trail was flooded due to recent rainfall.
