Monticello

The town of Monticello is a pleasant and beautiful surprise. It’s a taste of Florida’s antebellum era. Historic Southern homes and graceful trees line the main roads that converge to form a circle around the Jefferson County’s Courthouse. Pick up a brochure for a walking and driving tour of the town.

From I-10 take Exit 225 and travel north on U. S. 90 about five miles. Drive cautiously around the courthouse circle. We got confused a couple of times.
