Heritage Village

Heritage Village is located at 11909 125th Street North, Largo. For those interested in Florida history Heritage Village is definitely a must see. As the name clearly states it is a village of restored and preserved buildings gathered from across Pinellas County. Within a natural setting visitors can amble through the village and peek into the past. The Pinellas County Historical Society has gone to great lengths to furnish the homes, church, schools, and other buildings as they would have been, giving the visitor the feeling that he has stepped back in time. Shady walkways lead from door to door and provide a study of native plants. Each structure is unique and has a history all its own. The best part is that all of this is free but donations are welcomed.

We visited Heritage Village in the summer and enjoyed a quiet, leisurely stroll through the village, but if you visit their website, you’ll discover that Heritage Village has a variety of events and informative venues for all ages during the year.
